Sumption; for State Representative, District 58, Scott Drury; for Clerk of the Lake County Circuit Court, Cynthia Pruim Haran; for Coroner, Thomas A. Rudd and Artis Yancey; for Recorder, Mary Ellen Vanderventer; for State’s Attorney, Chris Kennedy, Reginald C. A former prosecutor and Assistant Lake County State’s Attorney, Chris was lead prosecutor in numerous jury trials, successfully obtaining convictions in hundreds of criminal cases. Currently he is in private practice, focusing on civil litigation representing victims of negligence, fraud, and civil rights abuses in state and federal courts. He has taught classes on criminal law and evidence at Columbia College.

To help voters decide, Tenth Congressional District Democrats (Tenth Dems) and WCPT-AM/FM radio have invited all five candidates to participate in a live, on-air candidate forum moderated by veteran Chicago political journalist Dick Kay.
